Our Mission

Established in 1987, the Surfing Association of Nova Scotia is a community-based non-profit organization dedicated to: building an inclusive, fun and respectful surf community; supporting recreational and competitive surfing; promoting coastal stewardship and access; while striving to achieve organizational effectiveness. 

Our Role

The Surfing Association of Nova Scotia is the officially recognized Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) and Provincial Recreation Organization (PRO), and represents the community and sport of surfing to governing bodies: Sport Nova Scotia and Recreation Nova Scotia. 

Strategic Goals 2023-2027

  1. Support and develop an inclusive, fun and respectful surf community.
  2. Support recreational and competitive surfing.
  3. Promote coastal stewardship and access.
  4. Operate a well run and effective organization.
