Established in 1987, the Surfing Association of Nova Scotia is a community-based non-profit organization dedicated to: building an inclusive, fun and respectful surf community; supporting recreational and competitive surfing; promoting coastal stewardship and access; while striving to achieve organizational effectiveness.

The Surfing Association of Nova Scotia is the officially recognized Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) and Provincial Recreation Organization (PRO), and represents the community and sport of surfing to governing bodies: Sport Nova Scotia and Recreation Nova Scotia.

Living in Nova Scotia for the past 5 years, I am a surf coach and owner at Hurricane Surf Company. If you can't find me in the water, you might find me working at the Seven Bays Bouldering Gym in Halifax.

Working with the SANS team lets me bring together my problem‑solving skills, my passion for surfing, and my love for the Nova Scotia community.

Having spent the past 10 years surfing on the South Shore, I'm thrilled to join the SANS board to contribute to the amazing surf community here in Nova Scotia.

Passionate about community growth through sports and fair, fun, and healthy opportunities for everyone. Since 2024, I’ve reconnected with the ocean, unleashing a passion for surfing.

I have been supporting rural surf communities, youth development, female surf mentorship, Indigenous surf programs and more for 20 years with SANS.

I'm excited to continue to help out with youth development, female surf mentorship, and accessibility in surfing!

With 8+ years of communications experience in both the private sector and non-profit, I'm excited to help tell the story of the important work SANS is doing to make surfing in Nova Scotia safe, welcoming, and inclusive for all.
